Scott Mendel

Scott Mendel joined Pattern’s Board of Directors in May of 2024, bringing over 30 years of financial and operational leadership experience. Scott also currently serves as Chairman of the Board at Akoya Biosciences, Inc., and is a Board member at Quantum-Si.

Previously, Scott held various executive roles at GenMark Diagnostics, Inc., a syndromic molecular diagnostics company specializing in infectious disease (acquired by Roche in April 2021). He served as Chief Executive Officer (February 2020–September 2021), Chief Operating Officer (February 2019–February 2020), and Chief Financial Officer (May 2014–February 2019).

Before GenMark, Scott was Chief Financial Officer at The Active Network, Inc., a global software-as-a-service (SaaS) company, from March 2010 through its acquisition by Vista Equity Partners in December 2013. He also spent over 20 years at General Electric, including serving as Chief Financial Officer for GE Healthcare IT from 2003 to 2010.

Scott holds a B.S. in Finance from Indiana University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
